Yes, I’m Canadian and I’ve been learning how to speak French for… around 12 years. My father was born in Quebec, so that’s my heritage. It isn’t my first language though, since my family decided it would be easier since my mother had English as her first language.
I actually find that I have to agree with you. I mean, they’re mostly not bad. I honestly don’t dabble in much Fire Emblem related things on tumblr. I just save a lot of the fan art. It is my absolute favorite series though, and I just get annoyed when I see confrontations and stuff which aren’t really necessary in the tag. From what I can see though, it looks awfully tight knit, and that’s something to be proud of for sure.
Thanks for the message! I’m actually going to go check out your blog now so (:

Thank you for understanding my overall point in all this.
Seriously, I’m supposed to be writing a boring essay now and this just made it a bit better.

All I’ve been doing is complaining over people complaining over meaningless things. I suppose it’s an effort to educate as sad as that sounds? I have the intent of trying to make people learn that their behavior really isn’t… all that productive or correct. Rather than being an obnoxious dickhead about it (which is what the majority of response is to FE character hate). Whenever someone makes a post that dares to insult a character (especially Micaiah god forbid) it’s as if everyone has the urge to be annoying and defend them. You know, because the simpler alternative of just leaving people alone just can’t work.
The respond to character hate is absolutely ridiculous. Especially when someone made an “oh so funny” gif that basically said “I’ll make it look like a bloody accident” because making the joke of hurting someone over a fucking fictional character is incredibly tasteful and hilarious. Or “Lucia is better than you”, because a fictional character is clearly the paragon of everything that is right in this world.
The DLC was an attempt for me to calmly bring upon my thoughts. The character hate is just obnoxious bullcrap so people can band together if someone has a different opinion on them.
Lovely message anon, now kindly fuck off.
